GRADUATES
There are the big firms, mid tier and small firms. Friend LLP are the best of all three – we audit clients, provide tax advice and help them buy and sell businesses. We are widely recognised as one of the leading independent firms in the region. Our people work on exciting assignments, enjoy excellent remuneration, receive quality training and have fun.
We are expanding rapidly and are seeking to recruit like minded graduate trainees for our audit and business assurance department. If you’re sharp, numerate, have a personality and are willing to work hard to reap the rewards, then we’d be delighted to hear from you.
Entry requirements
We are happy to receive by post or email a copy of your CV based upon the criteria specified below.
We are looking for graduates who are on course to gain a 2:1 (a business-related degree is not essential). You must be able to demonstrate an interest in business and financial matters and work experience in the financial sector would be desirable.
The successful applicant should be numerate with a high degree of practical intelligence and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
Application and interview process
The Firm will keep you updated of the status of your application to the graduate training scheme. The application process is as follows:
- Submit application
- First interview
- Second interview
- Job offer
Start dates are flexible, but traditionally we prefer at the start of the Academic year in September.
Exams and support
Our 3 year training programme incorporates the professional examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Trainees will benefit from a combination of on the job training, mentoring from senior colleagues and exam paper specific tuition in preparation for examinations.
Our trainees receive generous paid study leave, financial support for study materials and tuition at a leading local professional training college.
Formally, the Firm’s Training Officer will administer your exam progress and assist trainees in recording their work experience with the ACCA. The firm will integrate your studies with your day-to-day work ensuring that you gain a variety of practical experiences, exposure to examinable practices and the ongoing opportunity to develop your non-technical skills e.g. managing client relationships and practice marketing activities – all required for achieving the ACCA qualification.
Informally, your colleagues have all studied the exams or may only be a few years ahead so friendly advice and support is never far away. We want you to succeed in your exams and enjoy the training offered at the firm.
